Whether it’s a post on Twitter, an update on Facebook, or a video on YouTube, you need to be working to create new content for your marketing efforts today.
The only thing holding you back is you. So stop making excuses and start making something, anything that you think your clients need to know in a way they will find interesting.
Three Great Tools on Your Phone
- The Camera – The best camera is the one you have with you. The one on your phone is an amazing tool in itself. It’s there for video and regular pictures. So get some snaps for the Gram or set it up on some books and tell your clients what they need to know about your practice area they don’t already.
- Voice Memos – If you’re using an iPhone it’s right there. If you’re on Android there are tools you can use as well. Turn the recordings into a podcast, or have them transcribed into content for your website. Wherever it goes, start recording now.
- Notes – This is one of the most underutilized applications. Creating new content is as easy as typing it all out and having you or someone put it where it makes to most sense.

The Only Tool You Need
Well, my computer’s being a pain in the ass. And starting up slowly. I wanted to talk to you today about the only marketing tool that you actually need as a lawyer. And that’s the thing right here. I don’t care what anybody says you can have the best camera. I’ve got a good one.
You can have the best computer got a good one of those. You can have all the other things you want. But the only one you actually need is this thing right here. It has Facebook, it has Twitter. It has Tick Tock. It has Instagram. It has Hootsuite and Google in access to your website. It’s got everything that you need. It’s right here. It’s this little black box with my little beautiful wife and lovely child.
Anything you need to do anything you need to create. It’s a great video camera. It’s a great picture taker. It’s a great communication device. A voice memos for starting on podcast, download the anchor app start a podcast like that, which is how I did this Video and put it out online. Like, no matter what you think you need, all you actually need? Is this, your phone.
So take what you have and start something now. If you make enough money off of like doing the hard work here, you can start buying the real cool stuff but you don’t need that to start all you need is this. All right, get to work, create something. I’ll talk to y’all later.
